Gerry’s dnata, Pakistan's largest ground handler, has opened a new Marhaba lounge at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
Located at International departures, the Marhaba lounge will serve premium Emirates passengers on the airline’s five daily flights to Dubai.
Open 24-hours a day, the lounge offers all-day dining, a business centre, relaxation zone, a dedicated elevator for passengers who need wheelchair assistance or have heavy luggage, a kids area, free Wi-Fi, an enhanced buffet selection and marhaba representatives to assist passengers as needed. Over 40 staff have been recruited locally to support the new lounge.
“Marhaba is very popular lounge offering and we are extremely pleased to be able to bring this successful brand to Karachi; we believe it will fulfil the needs of discerning travellers,” says Gary Chapman, President dnata. “In keeping with the increasing traffic at Karachi airport, we anticipate serving more than 20,000 customers a year.”
Marhaba was launched in December 1991 to help passengers arriving in or departing from Dubai International airport. Lounges are operated at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 at Dubai International airport, Dubai World Central, and Bahrain International airportwith plans to further expand the network this year.
