The UAE’s Civil Aviation regulator has introduced a new internal system to help improve the rate at which it deals with applications and customer service queries.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) provides 188 e-services across the civil aviation industry.
The new system will allow the authority’s decision makers to access instant and actionable insights into the number of applications submitted and the amount of time applications are taking to be processed. By ascertaining where human resources can be deployed to speed processing the GCAA hopes to improve organisational performance and efficiency.
Laila Hareb Al-Muhairi, assistant general manager of the strategic and international affairs sector says, “The tool will create a wider vision for the current performance, and will help the higher management to understand performance trends, thus, promoting the culture of prospective and effective management in order to achieve the vision and organizational goals”.
