Amadeus, a provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry, has announced a partnership with Kuwait-based carrier Jazeera Airways.
The airline has adopted Amadeus’ Global Distribution Services (GDS) solutions, which has opened novel opportunities in terms of fare options and availability with travel agencies.
Rohit Ramachandran, CEO Jazeera Airways, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Amadeus, who connect us to significant distribution in our key markets, such as Saudi Arabia and India. We believe that this will create additional value for both companies.”
By entering Amadeus’ GDS ecosystem, Jazeera Airways has positioned itself to benefit from streamlined processes across various aspects of its daily operation.
Additionally, the partnership benefits the carrier’s current agreement with Navitaire, an Amadeus company, which it utilises its reservation platform as a means to drive higher revenues.
To date, the airline serves more than 2.2 million passengers annually and boasts a global network of 26 destinations.
Maher Koubaa, VP Airlines Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Amadeus, said: “We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Jazeera Airways, welcoming one of the largest low-cost carriers into our customer portfolio. Amadeus has built relationships with numerous world-leading airlines, enabling them to deliver greater value and smoother processes from ticketing through to scheduling.”
