Abu Dhabi Airports and Gal Air Navigation Services have recognised Mariam Al Remaithi for her achievement in becoming the first Emirati female to be licensed and certified for ATCO at Abu Dhabi Airports. Following her certification, Al Remaithi has joined the team at Al Ain International Airport.

The UAE woman has succeeded in confirming her critical role in the development of the nation’s economy and various industries, by taking part and excelling in all sectors with no exceptions."

Al Remaithi received her certification at the GAL ANS ATC Training Centre, a facility dedicated to the professional development of air traffic control personnel. The centre has received several international approvals, which include the likes of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
