United Broadcast & Media Solutions (UBMS), a distributor of broadcast and pro-video equipment in the Middle East and Africa, is ready to show its visitors some of the world's most renowned brands at this year's CABSAT show, taking place in the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 21-23.

UBMS will present a variety of product categories including professional video cameras, camera support systems, camera lenses, lighting, production editing systems and wireless transmission technology, as well as the full spectrum of broadcast communication equipment, high-end monitors, teleprompters, power solutions and radio solutions.

The UBMS Stand B1-10, Hall 1, will be highlighting some of the top international brands such as Arri, Blackmagic Design, Clyde Broadcast, DJI, EditShare, Grass Valley, Ikegami, Libec, LiveU, Sachtler, Sennheiser, Sony, Steadicam, Tiffen and Zeiss.

UBMS stand visitors can experience Arri group’s Amira, a versatile documentary-style camera, combines high image quality and affordable CFast 2.0 workflows with an ergonomic design optimised for single-operator use and extended shoulder-mounted operation. Amira is handy enough to take anywhere and features in-camera grading with preloaded 3D LUTs, as well as 100 fps slow motion. It is suitable for a variety of production types, from reportage and corporate films to TV drama and low-budget movies.

Arri also has its SkyPanel series of LED soft lights, with the new SkyPanel S120-C joining the S60 and S30 family of products at the UBMS stand. The S120 is twice as long as the S60, but weighs nearly the same. Retaining the same features and colour tunability as its smaller counterparts, the S120 consumes less than 400 watts, yet it is slightly brighter than the S60-C and has an efficacy of 90 lumens per watt.

UBMS will present LiveU’s LU600, the new portable transmission unit for global newsgathering and live sports, and events coverage. LU600 delivers up to 20Mbps video quality and bitrate, and is set to offer the fastest file transfer (80Mbps), and 100Mbps high-speed bonded internet connection. The new LU600 is field upgradable to H.265 HEVC, continuing LiveU’s adoption of the latest encoding standards and providing support for ‘Live & Store’ using the same video card.

EditShare, an intelligent storage and media management solutions company, will be showcasing its line of professional collaborative media solutions, including the company’s flagship tiered media storage and integrated asset management products XStream EFS and Flow. Co-exhibiting with UBMS at stand B1-10, EditShare experts will be on-hand to discuss workflow needs and how EditShare solutions can help.

The UBMS stand will also highlight on the new Kula switcher which help operators to work quickly and efficiently, focusing on high value creative tasks. Ideal for multiple applications, from live events (flyaway packs, OB vehicles), broadcast production, sports and house of worship to entertainment and conference/events, Kula has been designed to meet a wide range of production needs.

Sony’s pairing of a PXW-FS7M2 4K XDCAM Super 35 Camcorder Kit with an 18-110mm Zoom Lens provides the attendees with a camera and lens system ready for today's Super 35mm 4K single-camera productions. The camera is suited to cinema, documentaries, news magazines, or as the base of a kit to build upon for commercial production. A sturdy locking E-mount, which can support cinema-style zoom lenses, and an electronic variable ND filter highlight some of the camera's features. The camera supports recording of HD, UHD 4K and DCI 4K to integrated XQD media card slots.
