ALTV.com, an online video platform serving the Middle East and North Africa, is relaunching its online travel show for audiences in Morocco with a new presenter and new title.

Yallah M3aya, the new 12-episode show, builds on the success of the first series A Fine A Khouna and follows Moroccan broadcaster Najlae Bellouri as she explores areas of Turkey that tourists rarely see, meeting all kinds of local people and enjoying experiences such as free-diving and horse-riding.

Over the course of the new season, Bellouri brings out the best of Turkey for a Moroccan audience, using ALTV’s trademark approach that allows local people to speak for themselves as they help her discover their favourite places, neighbourhoods, shops and restaurants.

“I met some great people in Turkey and had some wonderful experiences that I know audiences back in Morocco are going to enjoy,” said Bellouri. “Besides fantastic food, history, archaeology and scenery, Turkey has such amazing people, as viewers will find out for themselves.

“I’m thrilled to be working for ALTV which is giving young programme-makers like me access to the tools, training and platform we need to create exciting new content for audiences that we could only dream of before.”

In a dozen, five-minute webcasts from five different regions of Turkey, Bellouri holds conversations with bloggers, performers and entrepreneurs. She has breakfast on a rooftop with stunning views of early-morning Istanbul, goes horse-riding in Cappadocia and most adventurous of all – goes free-diving in Kas.

Bellouri is a young and enthusiastic broadcaster from Marrakech that audiences will instantly warm to. A native of Safi on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, she holds a Master’s degree in Social Economy and Sustainable Development and already has five years’ experience in citizen journalism with GlobalGirl Media organisation, covering a variety of assignments including international summits and the challenging topic of sexual harassment.

The new series of Yallah M3aya reinforces ALTV’s commitment to Moroccan audiences following its launch of a dedicated French language version of ALTV.com and its mobile app earlier this year.

David C. McCourt, global media entrepreneur and founder of ALTV, said: “Yallah M3aya is exciting, captivating and a lot of fun, and presented by Najlae, I know our audience in Morocco is going to love it.

“It is exactly what we are about at ALTV – bringing a fresher, livelier and more relevant approach to programming and film production so that local audiences can enjoy high-quality content that means something to them.

“ALTV is now experiencing success right across the Middle East and North Africa, providing a new platform for highly creative people from the region who know exactly what audiences in their home areas want.”
