UBMS have successfully managed and delivered a new lighting project for Studio C at Saudi Broadcast Authority (SBA) formerly known as the Saudi Broadcasting Corporation (SBC).
UBMS delivered the project along in partnership with broadcast lighting manufacturer ARRI and local Saudi partner Nesma Telecom & Technology Co. Ltd.
SBA's Studio "C" is programmed to be used for a general talk show and to produce multiple cultural programs, with the crucial ability to shift between more than one "decor set" in the studio at any given time.
UBMS said the project was designed and executed to meet the requirement of the broadcaster by providing a flexible studio design to achieve fast turn-round between different productions & programs.
The studio lighting project involved supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete lighting solution along with a motorized telescopic system and control room.
The use of motorized telescopes allows fast changes to vertical positioning of attached luminaries. Together with a low torsion telescopic tube set and a positioning suspension control system they offer the best performance in fast and precise positioning of studio lights.
In June 2018, the Saudi Broadcasting Corporation changed its name to the Saudi Broadcasting Authority under the chairmanship of Dr. Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad, minister of media. The new name SBA was adopted so as to remove confusion with the newly launched flagship Saudi Broadcasting Channel (SBC).
