Ooredoo Oman appoints new chief business and wholesale officer

Ooredoo has appointed Sultan Al Wahaibi as its new chief business and wholesale officer. He was promoted from the post of director of business sales. In his new role, Al Wahaibi will be responsible for continuing the rapid growth of the company's business and wholesale segments.

Al Wahaibi's  background includes more than 16 years of experience leading teams as a project manager, head of wireless communication, and director of the network modernisation programme in Oman. He holds a bachelor's in electrical engineering with a minor in business from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is also a graduate of the London Business School's executive education programme and the Institute for Management Development's (IMD, Switzerland) as part of the Ooredoo Business Leader Programme.

Through its Omanisation programme, Ooredoo recruits, trains and develops talent enabling the people of the sultanate fulfil their career potential and contribute to the growth of the nation.
