Arabian Radio Network (ARN) and ‘Unlockd’, an ad and content mobile funded platform, in a joint partnership with Etisalat have launched a mobile app that gives subscribers an opportunity to earn up to AED 15 every month by opting to view targeted ads, curated content or offers.
The system will ensure that advertisers receive first access to consumers at their most engaged digital moment. Advertising will be delivered based on users’ interests and geo-location, to ensure maximum relevancy. Users can then simply dismiss the ad or, click through for more information. Khaled ElKhouly, Etisalat’s chief consumer officer said: “Etisalat is excited to offer our subscribers an opportunity to earn credit and make savings via this innovative application. This partnership also gives customers the flexibility of choice to view targeted content and at the same time reduce their phone spend every month. This is yet another endeavour from us to provide enhanced value to our customers for being with Etisalat."
Customers can download the app from Google Play, simply by searching for “Unlock & Earn”. Thereafter, pre-paid users can start earning free credit while post-paid users can reduce their monthly phone bills. More information can be found here.

The technology behind the service is developed by enterprise mobile platform, Unlockd, which has also debuted the Unlockd Connect product over the last 12 months in three major markets including the USA with Sprint subsidiary Boost Mobile, UK with Tesco Mobile and the Caribbean with the region’s largest carrier, Digicel.
