The Wave, Muscat, an integrated tourism complex in Oman, has unveiled its new brand identity.
The complex has turned to its Arabic translation, thus becoming Al Mouj Muscat.
A new logo for the complex has been derived from the calligraphy of the former logo and elements from the joint venture partners involved in the project: the typeface and colours from the Ministry of Tourism logo, and the new Majid Al Futtaim branding.
"Today marks a new phase of the project's maturity as we celebrate the depth of our Arabian heritage and the strength of our joint venture partners in an all-encompassing modern visual identity," said Hawazen Esber, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat.
He added: "Al Mouj Muscat has evolved into a benchmark for property development in the country and a model for public-private cross-border collaboration as demonstrated by the Omani Government and Majid Al Futtaim Properties.
"I am proud to say that we are the only integrated tourism complex in Oman that has successfully brought people, business and culture into one thriving destination."
Nasser Al Sheibani, chief financial officer at Al Mouj Muscat added: "The Al Mouj Muscat evolution will strengthen the company's position in both local and regional markets as the most successful integrated tourism project in Oman."
Al Mouj Muscat comprises luxury residential properties, besides lifestyle and recreation amenities.
Plans are also in place to expand the waterfront community with a new school, more hotels and a harbour-side piazza.
The development is currently in the last stages of finalising a new masterplan.
Al Mouj Muscat was the first real estate development in Oman to open its doors to foreign investors when it broke ground in 2006.
The community currently homes 4,000 residents, with the number expected to grow by 50% in the future.
