A logistics centre is set to be developed in Duqm's special economic zone.
The integrated logistics centre will include warehouse offices, a maintenance workshop, and storage areas for equipment and machinery related to the oil and gas sector.
Yahya bin Said bin Abdullah al-Jabri, chairman of Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm (SEZAD), inked a land agreement with Truck Oman Projects and Oilfield Services Company for the project.
SEZAD comprises a fishery harbour, the Duqm Airport, and the Port of Duqm.
Spanning 2.3ha, the centre will be situated in SEZAD's logistics area.
The project's construction cost and timeline are yet to be revealed.
According to state agency ONA, the project aims to provide logistics management mechanisms for various operations, such as management of transport, supporting and controlling the traffic movement, and management of vehicles and equipment movement data during the hours of work in the field.
