Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it will be holding the fourth edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) later this year.
RTA is putting together the event in collaboration with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emaar Properties, and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
The forum will be held from 20-21 November, 2017.
Quoting Mattar Al Tayer, director-general of RTA’s board of executive directors, UAE state news agency, WAM, noted that the fourth edition of the event would build on the success of the previous editions, which reportedly attracted more than 4,000 attendees from over 50 countries.
“Successes are reflected in the scale and level of delegates, international speakers hosted, and vital topics discussed,” said Al Tayer, adding that topics covered will include “the management of engineering and construction projects, as well as the role of project management in technical, sporting, energy, sustainability, future foresight, and innovation fields, among others”.
Laila Faridoon, executive director of the office of the director-general of the RTA and chairperson of the organising ommittee of the DIPMF, underscored the transport authority’s desire to share best practices in project management as the primary reason behind the event.
"It is part of our endeavours to realise Dubai Plan 2021 and render Dubai as a key pillar of the global economy and a prominent business hub worldwide," Faridoon said.
Online registration for the forum will open on 10 April, 2017, according to the RTA.
