Tenders worth $2.8bn (AED10.2bn), issued by 10 government entities in Abu Dhabi, were processed during the first half of 2017.
Abu Dhabi's Department of Finance announced that the Al Maqta'a Bidding Hall processed the government tenders.
Established in June 2015, Al Maqta'a Bidding Hall focuses on capital and operational project tenders in Abu Dhabi.
Al Maqta'a Bidding Hall aims "to enhance transparency, competitiveness, and openness pertaining to tenders issued by Abu Dhabi-based government entities which are of a value of more than" $27.2m (AED100m).
Tenders from Abu Dhabi City Municipality's Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, were processed by Al Maqta'a Bidding Hall.
Capital and operational project tenders processed by Al Maqta'a Bidding Hall include infrastructure projects in Al Wathba North, as well as other parts of Abu Dhabi.
Road works in Al Dhafra, and service and government building projects – such as the establishment of Abu Dhabi Disabled Sports Club – are also part of the processed tenders, WAM reported.
