Three residential communities covering 10,000 land plots will be developed for Emirati citizens, following a ruling by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

HH Sheikh Mohammed has called for Emirati citizens in Dubai to be allocated homes within the three residential communities, covering 24.57km2.

The first, and biggest, community is Al Ruwayyah 3rd, and will comprise a total land area of 22.56km2and 8,428 land plots.

The second site, Wadi Shaback, covers 2.32km2, with 1,315 land plots.

The third, and smallest, community is Mushriff, which will span 59ha and comprise 349 land plots.

Each plot of land allocated to Emirati citizens will have an area of 1,115m², and all residential communities will be built with mosques, schools, public parks, and shops.

The ruling comes days after the deadline for Emiratis building homes on government-granted land was extended by three years by Sheikh Mohammed.

Following the ruling to allot more than 10,000 land plots, Sheikh Mohammed said: “We have ordered the allocation of new land plots as part of promoting the wellbeing and prosperity of Emirati citizens in Dubai. The new residential communities will feature all essential infrastructure.”

Director general of Dubai Municipality (DM), Dawood Abdulrahman Al Hajiri, said DM would launch all the necessary steps to implement Sheikh Mohammed’s order.

Land plots will soon be awarded to Emirati citizens that have secured approvals from the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Al Hajiri said, according to WAM.
