Bahrain’s Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs, and Urban Planning has announced that it will be carrying out maintenance and improvement works on Sitra Bridge, King Hamad Highway, and Wali Al Ahad Highway this weekend.
According to the ministry, it will be closing the slow lane, as well as two lanes for eastbound traffic, on Sitra Bridge to allow for maintenance works to be implemented. The closure will be effective from 11.00 p.m. today (25 January) to 5.00 a.m. on 28 January, 2018.
Meanwhile, the slow lane on both sides of the King Hamad Highway's junction with Highway 96, near Alba, will be closed from 11.00 p.m. today until 5.00 a.m. on 27 January, 2018. This will allow for the installation of electrical cables, the ministry added.
Improvement works are also scheduled for Wali Al Ahad Highway, requiring the closure of the slow lane from 11.00 pm today to 4.00 pm on 27 January, 2018.
Another lane will be provided for eastbound traffic movement from Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Highway towards Riffa, Bahrain News Agency reported.
