Evershine Contracting will begin Phase 4 construction of Azizi Riviera after winning a $152m (AED559m) contract to build 10 towers for the waterfront project in Meydan One.

Phase 4 of Azizi Riviera, Azizi Developments' flagship project, will start in July 2018.

The contractor will build 10 towers, which is half of all buildings to be developed in Phase 4.

Evershine Contracting's recent work in the UAE includes projects in the Mirdiff neighbourhood.

Commenting on the award to Evershine Contracting, the chairman of Azizi Developments, Mirwais Azizi, said: “There is high demand for community-oriented real estate projects in Dubai. This is why we are progressing quickly with Azizi Riviera, one of our most ambitious projects to date.”

Azizi Riviera is a$3.2bn (AED12bn) waterfront community comprising 69 mid-rise residential buildings, two hotels, and an integrated shopping district.

When the multiphase development is completed, more than 13,000 residential units of studios, and one- and two-bedroom apartments will have been built.

Azizi said the French-inspired project had already “made a mark in the real estate market in Dubai” with groundwork engineering and construction making steady progress.

Excavation work for Phase 3 started in April 2018, while basement work for Phases 1 and 2 – which were 85% complete in March 2018 – are on track for completion in Q1 2019.

Construction work on the $3.2bn project, located along the Dubai Water Canal, started in July 2017 when ground was broken for the development.

Azizi Developments plans to award approximately $5bn (AED20bn) worth of tenders for projects in Dubai this year – the largest tender from the developer to date as it aims to deliver multiple projects on time by 2020.
