Contractor ALEC has been awarded a Phase 1 construction deal for plot four of the Deira Waterfront Development project in Dubai.
Scope of ALEC’s contract includes construction of a three-storey podium, two office buildings with between four and eight floors, and a hotel of up to eight levels with an accessible rooftop area.
Mechanical, electric, and plumbing (MEP) work is included in the contract for the 43,835m² project that will be executed on top of existing construction work for Palm Deira Metro Station.
It is unclear how much the contract ALEC won for the plot four project of Deira Waterfront Development Phase 1 is worth.
ALEC could not be reached for comment on the contract at the time of writing.
However, the win comes after ALEC was awarded a contract to build the Mobility Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The three-storey venue will host the exhibition for six months and scope of ALEC’s work here includes building offices, retail, exhibition space, an event drinks area, VIP lounge, and MEP work.
The total built up area is 147,000m².
The trefoil-sharped building will be surrounded by an illuminated place and will have a one-storey underground car park.
