Construction work on the Z35 roads and infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi’s Mohamed Bin Zayed City, worth $76.4m (AED280.7m), has been completed, Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) revealed.
The project's scope included the construction of internal roads and infrastructure for residential plots. Musanada worked with Abu Dhabi Municipality on the 150ha project.
Z35 is located 20km south of the emirate’s international airport at the Al Mafraq intersection on the Abu Dhbai – Al Ain highway.
Storm water, potable water, and sewage drainage work were included in the project, in addition to telecommunications lines and networks, street lighting, and an electricity network with 21 power substations.
According to UAE state news agency Wam, the project will provide infrastructure services to 531 residential plots, four mosques, three schools, and 25 social and sports facilities.
Earlier this month, the government authority reported 60% completion on its $80.5m (AED295.7m) internal roads and infrastructure projects for 354 plots in Shakhbout City.
