The hospitality arm of Dubai development giant Emaar has announced it will open five hotels before year-out, just months after it sold five hotel assets to Abu Dhabi Nationals Hotels (ADNH).
According to a statement, Emaar Hospitality Group will open two hotels in Dubai under its Address Hotels + Resorts; the 193-key three-tower Address Fountain Views and the 169 room Address Sky view, both of which are located in Downtown Dubai.
Featuring 157 rooms, Vida The Hills in Dubai’s Emirates Hills is located 10 minutes walking distance away from Emirates Golf Club and Address Montgomerie. Vida Harbour Point will also open under Rove Hotels, the joint venture of Emaar Properties and Dubai-based real estate developer Meraas.
The 579-key Rove At The Park hotel, located in Dubai Parks and Resorts, will also welcome guests under the Rove Hotels property brand.
Emaar said all the above have commenced online booking, adding the response from guests “is strong”.
Speaking on the news, Chris Newman, chief operating officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “The new hotels also strengthen our role as the Official Hospitality & Hotel Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, with the city gearing up to welcome over 25 million visits during the six-month period of the much-anticipated event.
“We are committed to supporting the Dubai Tourism Strategy to welcome 25 million annual visitors by 2025 through our robust portfolio of upcoming hotel projects and will also focus on expanding our geographic footprint through new hotel management agreements.”
The news comes four months after Emaar Hospitality formally announced the sale in November last year of five Dubai Hotels – Address Dubai Mall, Address Boulevard, Address Dubai Marina, Vida Downtown, and Manzil Downtown – to ADNH.
