Ahead of the start of The Hotel Show, being held in Dubai on 17-19 September 2019, district cooling service provider Emirates Central Cooling Systems (Empower) said that its services were being used by 126 hotels in the city as of August 2019.
The company plans to expand its network in the UAE, where 219 projects/61,781 rooms are under-construction according to findings released earlier this month by Lodging Econometrics.
Commenting on the figures in a statement, Empower’s chief executive officer, Ahmed Bin Shafar, said: “We are constantly developing infrastructure to keep pace with the growing demand for district cooling services, especially with the booming of real estate projects, in the UAE in general, and Dubai in particular.
“The hospitality industry is one of the key sectors that we are keen on investing in. This contributes to enhancing the Hospitality and Tourism industry by reducing cost and adopting environmentally friendly solutions, while providing the ideal environment to attract tourists.”
