The UAE's first ever Sky Bridge, the Dubai Frame, has recently been revealed to feature more than 4,000 square metres of locally manufactured Gaurdian Glass.
Worth AED230mn, the building applies the Sun-Guard Neutral Plus 50 glass product, in addition to its gold cladding.
"We made certain that the glass we used serves the aethetical and functional purpose of this attraction," said Wissam Kazzaz, regional marketing director. "We saw this as an opportunity to support Dubai's tourism and economic diversification efforts, and contracting local manufacturers like ourselves only accelerates the country's growth and development."
The Dubai Frame provides a 360-degree view of Dubai's skyline from a glass-bottom bridge, with one side overlooking Dubai's skyline and the other overseeing older areas of the emirate, including Deira, Umm Harare and Karama.
