Dubai-based interior design and fit-out contractor Design Infinity has transformed the two-storey office of government-owned real estate developer Aqaar Properties, using open spaces and clean lines.

Design Infinity has modernised the 1,800m² office of Ajman-based Aqaar Properties, using wooden veneer, subtle carpet patterns and light beige upholstered furniture.

Formerly located in a tired two-storey office space, Aqaar Properties appointed Design Infinity to enhance the workplace and create a new customer service area.

A wide and welcoming customer service space was introduced to form an open-play layout that encourages interaction between customers and staff. While bespoke service counter desks have been added to act as a single transaction point for different services.

To bring light and balance to the office, two-metre-wide corridors provide breathing space between the administration areas.

Clean lines are reflected by LED ceiling lights that provide a visual marker.

The soft colour palette is contrasted with carpeted floors, black powder-coated ironmongeries and black recessed ceilings.

Linear workstations and ergonomic desk chairs have been selected by Design Infinity to improve the efficiency of the office, as well as the happiness and productivity of staff at Aqaar Properties.

“Design Infinity truly believes that well-designed public spaces have many distinct attributes that need to be realised in order to create successful and meaningful spaces for the community and its users,” the company told Commercial Interior design.

“We also believe that internal design elements are equally important in order to enhance the interaction and flexibility of spaces.”

Aqaar Properties handed Design Infinity a clear brief: create a contemporary office that reflects its norms and values. Design Infinity has successfully revamped the space with a modern redesign and fit-out.
