Dubai's first Andaz-branded hotel will open its doors in December 2019, with a design style that celebrates Emirati culture and creativity.
Local product designer Khalid Shafar has been picked to design four palm trees for the terrace pool at Andaz Dubai The Palm.
Guests can also expect Sadu-inspired textiles, beds framed by a canopy of weaved wood in a nod to traditional Bedouin tents and local artwork from emerging artists.
It will also feature elements of eclectic design, from Japanese Izakaya-style dining to restaurants reminiscent of Dubai’s oldest kebab house and Jumeirah’s favourite fish shack.
Andaz Dubai The Palm will open on 1 December, 2019. The twin-tower hotel sits along 300m of private sandy beach and comprises 217 guest rooms and 116 residences.
Between the two towers is the main terrace swimming pool, which features two woven seating canopies that provide views of the Burj Al Arab.
Dubai's first Andaz-branded property follows the launch of Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi.
The company behind the project has also said it is “committed to eliminating single use plastic throughout all departments” at the hotel.
