Emaar Development’s director of lighting design, Patricia López, will highlight the role developers play in lifting creative standards in the Middle East at the designMENA Summit 2019.
Ecuardo-born Patricia López Yánez oversees lighting design direction for the UAE property giant Emaar, managing everything from conception through to implementation across masterplanning, landscape, hospitality, residential, retail and high-rise buildings.
She will join a team of interior designers and architects at the designMENA Summit 2019 on 4 December at Grosvenor House to debate the role property developers play in elevating regional design standards.
Joining Yánez on the ‘Time for change: How can we elevate design standards?’ panel is Laura Bielecki, senior manager of interior designer, Ellington Properties; Emirati product designer Khalid Shafar; H+A design director, David Lessard; Nomadk founder, Kevin McLachlan; and Esra Lemmens, founder of the Esra Lemmens Agency.
Director of architecture for Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project, Claudia Mercantini, will give the keynote speech at the design summit.
Deloitte Middle East construction leader, Cynthia Corby, will provide an economic overview of the Middle East design and development market.
