Japanese architecture firm Nikken Sekkie is to design the Fairmont Ramla Serviced Residences Riyadh.
The news came after Fairmont Hotels & Resorts teamed up with a Saudi Arabia's Naif Alrajhi Investment Company to develop the property in the capital of Saudi Arabia.
People working on the project expect it to be completed during 2020.
It will incorporate a modern and eclectic design aesthetic, according to the companies behind it.
Fairmont Ramla Serviced Residences Riyadh will have 249 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Four-bedroom penthouses will also be part of the residentailo mix.
The mid-rise tower's façade will be layered with panelling and a structured central pattern.
Accor’s chief executive officer for the Middle East and Africa, Mark Willis, said: “As Saudi Arabia further strengthens its economy, there is greater demand for luxury long-stay accommodation with amenities and services catering for both leisure and business travellers.
“The launch of Fairmont’s standalone serviced residence concept is aimed to help bridge this gap in the market.”
