A new office design with the Middle East in mind is being launched in the region.

London design studio PearsonLloyd, which designed the business class cabins for Lufthansa and the WorkLife rooms for the Intercontinental Hotel Group, collaborated with global work environment designer Bene to create PORTS.

The design line and an office concept is a multifunctional hub with three modules – PORTS LOUNGE, TABLE and STORAGE – that can be combined in various ways and features a majilis lounge for collaborative working.

Research by Bene shows that organisations now need spaces that are flexible and adaptable, with more openness and less formality, as well as options for privacy and quiet work and that's where PORTS comes in.

“The private office is slowly disappearing. And managers are becoming more open, collaborative, democratic – and younger. So they need as much time and space as possible to plan how they will fulfil their responsibilities and to think creatively,” adds the firm's Luke Pearson.
