Restrictions on entry and exit of Abu Dhabi have been announced.

From June 2 for one week, all residents and UAE nationals are not permitted to move between regions including Al Dhafra, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, as well as travel to other emirates.

Entry and exit to and from Abu Dhabi is also not permitted.

Exemptions are being made for employees working in vital sectors with special permits, patients with chronic disease visiting hospitals and the transportation of vital goods.

Residents are permitted to move within their region between the hours of 6am and 10pm in compliance with the hours of the National Sterilisation Programme.

The new restrictions aim to reduce contact and stop the spread of COVID-19.
