GEMS Education has been tapped to operate Sharjah's Wesgreen International School.

Through this partnership Wesgreen students will benefit from more extracurricular activities, access to GEMS-wide events, competitions and international university partnerships. The staff and teachers of Wesgreen will also be integrated into the wider GEMS network

Wesgreen International School was founded in 1991 and offers the UK curriculum from KG1 to Grade 13. The school is housed across two campuses - the Al Qarain campus houses classes from KG1 to Grade 1, while students from Grade 2 to 13 are housed in the school's main campus.

GEMS Education CEO Dino Varkey commented: "As a proud UAE company, we have dedicated considerable resources to ensuring the highest quality education for children across the nation, and beyond. With this addition to our network we are further reinforcing our commitment to the UAE 2021 Vision as well as strengthening our mission of providing quality education within the reach of every child. GEMS looks forward to continuing the tradition of excellence at Wesgreen International School."
