Seven new schools offering a variety of curricula will open in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in September 2017, with four offering the British curriculum, two Ministry of Education curriculum schools, and one American curriculum school.
The new British curriculum schools include Stepping Stones Private School, which will open in the Al Bahia area.
The Royal Academy in Mohammad Bin Zayed City will accommodate 2000 students when fully built. The school will be operated by Learn Educational Investments, a subsidiary of Royal Group.
Repton Abu Dhabi will expand its capacity at the Reem Island campus. The new campus will allow the British curriculum school to cater to students from Years 3 to 13.
Garden City British School has opened admissions for students from KG1 to Grade 5 in its first year. Fees at the school range from AED23,100 for KG to AED25,410 for Grade 5.
A second school in Al Ain - Al Takamul Private School - is the only new American curriculum school opening in September. Fees at the school range from AED16,850 for KG1 to AED19,500 for Grade 5.
A second branch of Polaris Private Academy, which offers the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum will open in Abu Dhabi's Al Falah neighbourhood. The school's first branch in Downtown Dubai accomodates more than 1200 students from KG1 to Grade 12, according to Gulf News.
Al Manara Private School in Mohammad Bin Zayed City will also offer the Ministry of Education curriculum for students from KG1 to Grade 12.
In addition to the seven private schools, the emirate will also see the opening of six new public schools in September.
