GEMS Education will manage an international school in the Holy City of Madinah Al Monawara, Saudi Arabia.
The UAE-based operator signed an agreement with the Al Boraq Education Charitable Fund to manage the American curriculum school, which will open in September 2019.
As part of the agreement, GEMS will provide technical, academic, pre-operational and operational management services.
When it opens, the school will accommodate up to 1650 students, and the curriculum will have a strong focus on Arabic and Islamic cultural beliefs.
GEMS Education CEO Dino Varkey commented: "GEMS Education remains committed to providing high-quality education throughout the region and beyond. By managing our third school in Saudi Arabia we are reaffirming our commitment to the Kingdom in providing educational choices for families, underpinned by the GEMS expertise, developed over 55 years."
GEMS currently manages two schools in Saudi Arabia - The World Academy in King Abdullah Economic City, and The Kingdom Schools in Riyadh.
