The MENA Teacher Summit will held at the Universal American School in Dubai from October 6-7.
An initiative of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Connected Community in the GCC, and organised by KDSL Global, the event seeks to improve teaching and learning and connect education professionals throughout the MENA region.
Topics at the summit will address best practices in leadership, data, curriculum, college readiness, English Language Arts, Math, and Science Standards implementation. The audience at the conference will include classroom teachers, heads of department, programme coordinators, school administrators, and organisations active in the education sector.
Dr Tom Hoerr will present the keynote address at the event. His latest ASCD book is The Formative Five: Fostering Grit, Empathy, and Other Success Skills Every Student Needs, where he makes the case that it is not enough to prepare students academically; they must be prepared to succeed in life.
Educators and school leaders from American curriculum schools in the MENA region can register for the event at www.menateachersummit.com
