The Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering at RIT Dubai combines theoretical fundamentals as well as practical aspects in this dynamic field, and educates students in practices, methodologies, and cutting edge techniques. Students will build on their experience of engineering and can choose to focus on two areas: Communications or Control Systems.
Master of Science (MS) in Service Leadership and Innovation

This one-of-a-kind graduate programme will help prepare you to transform your organisation by using innovation to drive measurable outcomes. RIT graduates anticipate the future and see opportunities to position their organisations—and themselves—to reach new levels of success in a constantly changing world. The Master's in Service Leadership and Innovation is awarded upon successful completion of 36 credit hours culminating in a comprehensive examination or capstone project. The programme is completed in a combination of day and evening classes, and online learning.
Masters in Networking and Systems Administration
Trends in network communications unifying wired and wireless infrastructures, cloud computing, scalability, collaboration tools, block chain and security can only be fully utilized by a new breed of highly educated and technically proficient professionals who understand emerging communication technologies. The international faculty at RIT Dubai has a strong research background in networking, cybersecurity and wireless communications. From the Internet of Things to 5G and NFV, students learn how to evaluate market trends, evaluate vendors in industry and determine the impact of technology or your organisation.
Masters in Mechanical Engineering
The master of engineering in mechanical engineering is a 30 credit hour degree programme. It is intended to be a terminal degree programme designed for those who wish to become a leader within the mechanical engineering field. The degree is particularly well-suited for students who wish to study part-time, for those interested in updating their technical skills, or for those not focused on a research-oriented Master of Science thesis. A conventional thesis is not required for the programme. In its place, students complete a capstone experience, which may be, a well-organized and carefully chosen industrial internship, a project with paper option, or a research methods course.
Five focus areas, specializations, are offered at RIT Dubai: Sustainability, Thermo/Fluids Engineering, Mechanics and Design, Controls and Business. All courses are delivered in the evening in order to fit part-time working student’s schedules.
Master of engineering (ME) in Engineering Management
The Master in Engineering Management is a graduate programme combining the up-to-date technology of engineering projects with management skills to give working professionals the competitive edge in a fast changing global environment. The core of the programme is from the Kate Gleason College of Engineering, Industrial Engineering programme. The programme is also complemented with some courses from the Saunders College of Business to ensure a good balanced curriculum.
All courses are delivered in the evening in order to fit part-time working student’s schedules.
Master of Science (MS) in Professional Studies: City Science
This programme has been created for thought-leaders who are fascinated by the fast-developing and extremely exciting area of city science and smart cities. It is particularly suited for those who are in, or who are seeking, a leadership position spearheading digital transformation in either a public or a private organisation's operations and services. Our current students include senior decision makers from across the region who are helping shape the future of the cities we live in.
The master's degree is the first of its kind in the region and explores what cities are, and what they can be. It goes beyond the concept of a smart city to also cover important technological, social and sustainability issues to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to the cities of today and tomorrow.
Master of Science (MS) in Professional Studies: Data Analytics
This programme prepares participants for successful careers helping organisations make better decisions through analytics. It prepares participants to work effectively with complex, real-world data and to create value from it. The programme is based on a holistic educational experience, where theory and practice are fully interlaced through the continuous support of public and private sectors partners. The Data Analytics programme is designed to be suitable for working individuals.
