Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has appointed Hossam Nabil as its new director of sales and marketing.
The Egyptian national brings more than 18 years of UAE hospitality experience to his new role, having held senior sales and marketing positions with groups such as IHG, Time Hotels, and Rotana Hotels.
Explaining Nabil’s role, Millennium Airport Hotel general manager Simon Moore said: “Predominantly Hossam's role will be to market the hotel to the local corporate and leisure travellers. During the holiday periods, we now have a very attractive proposition for the GCC and international leisure market – new interconnecting rooms, a large pool area, five minutes from Wafi City or Deira City Centre.”
Nabil joins the hotel during the final stages of its expansion – the property has already delivered 225 new rooms, bringing the total to 341 guest rooms. The hotel has also completed a new swimming pool terrace with event space for up to 1000 guests, new F&B outlets, a spa, and a new ballroom.
“The hotel has built an enviable reputation over the past 25 years and now it has been sympathetically upgraded and expanded, almost seamlessly, combining great tradition with contemporary design and state-of-the-art room facilities," said Nabil.
"This provides the sales and marketing team with a distinct competitive edge – one which we are determined to capitalise on.”
“Another major benefit moving forward will be the growing strength of the Millennium and Copthorne brand. It is a very exciting time from a corporate perspective with a target of 50 hotels, 20 of which will be in Saudi Arabia, by 2017,” he added.
