France hosts two pavilions at Gulfood trade show
France has two pavilions at Gulfood and more than 90 companies.

France is hosting two pavilions at Gulfood this year, divided into "food & drink" and "food service & catering equipment" sectors including more than 90 companies.

The market in the GCC is booming for French companies, with French exports of F&B products increasing by 80% over the last five years in the UAE, and Saudi Arabia is considered the largest export market for F&B products standing at US $830.33 million in 2012.

In 2012, the total export value to the UAE was around US $408.74 million, showing a 13% increase from 2011. In 2007, this figure stood at $226.58 million.

France is also the 5th largest exporter of equipment for the food industry in the UAE, and is highly present in the bakery and dairy industries.

The food & drink sector is located in Sheikh Saeed Halls, while the food service and catering equipment can be found in Za'abeel Hall.
