Home-grown developer Zaya Hospitality has opened its flagship resort Zaya Nurai Island in Abu Dhabi.
Located 10 minutes from Saadiyat Island via boat, Zaya Nurai Island, originally called Zaya Retreats, consists of 32 luxury boutique villas as well as 23 residential water villas and beach estates.
Each beach villa includes its own private pool and patio with direct beach access, complimentary minibar, state-of-the-art in-room facilities, and Acqua Di Parma amenities. A dedicated butler will also be available 24 hours a day to assist guests during their stay.
Explaining the resort’s concept of 'barefoot luxury', Zaya Nurai Island director of operations Stephen Gee said: “Barefoot luxury is all about leaving the world behind and stepping onto our paradise island, kicking off your shoes and just being yourself. Throughout the island we have made sure that guests are pampered, but most of all that they really are able to relax and have fun during their time with us.
"Zaya Nurai Island is no ordinary retreat; it is a heavenly getaway with real personality and quirky touches."
Food and beverage outlets at Zaya Nurai Island include Nurai’s Terrace, the island’s all-day dining concept, which will serve organic, seasonal produce sourced from local farms, with a flexible menu.
The Pool Bar is the resort’s beachfront venue, serving al fresco food and classic dishes, with bonfires and a DJ in the evening, and the Shisha Deck will offer after-dinner drinks, a variety of shisha flavours and an extensive list of beverages.
Three more dining concepts, including a fine-dining restaurant, are yet to be announced.
The resort also includes a kids club called Petit Z, and a PADI dive centre for certified divers, along with non-motorised water sports such as paddle boarding, wind surfing, kayaking, and kite surfing.
