This month, Wendy’s has switched to using 100% Angus beef in all its burgers across all 17 Wendy’s restaurants in the UAE, without increasing the cost to customers.
The cattle from which the Angus is derived is bred and raised in Australia.
The cows are fed a nutritionally balanced diet, resulting in a more consistent product and enhanced marbling that contributes to improved tenderness, juiciness and flavour.
The Angus beef sourcedby Wendy’s adheres to the Australian Government Authorised Halal Program, Australia’s official system that controls the production of all halal meat, meaning all Wendy’s burgers will be 100% Australian Angus halal beef.
Phil Broad, vice president of food and beverage at Alghanim Industries, said: “We are thrilled to launch 100% Australian Angus beef in all UAE restaurants, which underpins our ongoing commitment to ensuring the very best quality food at Wendy’s.”
He added: “Exceeding our customer’s expectations comes first, which is why we decided to upgrade our beef without passing the cost to the consumer, so they can enjoy a superior burger without paying more.”
Alghanim Industries signed a master franchise agreement with The Wendy’s Company, acquiring rights to develop all Wendy’s operational outlets in the UAE and open additional stores across Middle East North Africa (MENA), last year.
