Bernard Mercier has been appointed as the general manager of Corinthia Hotel Khartoum in Sudan.
A press release said that Mercier is an experienced hotelier who has worked in senior roles at several international hotel chains, such as InterContinental, Sheraton, Orient Express, and Kempinski.
He previously worked as the managing director of Trump Hotel Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
A Swiss by birth, Mercier’s work has allowed him to work around the globe, giving him an understanding of diverse cultures. He has worked in Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, China, Mexico, French Polynesia, the Philippines and Hong Kong.
