The first M Hotel brand in UAE under the management of Millennium & Copthorne, M Hotel Downtown by Millennium, has hired Amit Kumar as its new F&B manager and executive chef in charge.
With more than 22 years of experience in the hotel industry, Kumar has worked with hotel brands in India, Oman, and UAE and brings his expertise in F&B and people management in his new role.
Kumar started his career in 1995 as a commis chef in India, from then he went to different hotel brands in UAE such as Accor, Hyatt, Shangri-La, Starwood, and IHG as a pre-opening executive chef and F&B operations manager for Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi.
In between, he went back to India to work for Radisson and later moved to The Oberoi Group, Trident Hilton as executive chef.
Prior to his current role, Kumar was the director of food and beverage and executive chef of Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai, Dubai where he developed, implemented, and monitored the operations of all restaurants and bars.
In his new stint, Kumar will manage the day to day operations of the hotel’s food and beverage department, executive F&B strategies to drive revenue and deliver a higher level of customer service.
