Global design agency Creneau International, now in the UAE since 2006, not only connects brands, spaces and consumers through design concepts but also comes with operational experience and advice through its own restaurants and bars, such as Cargo, Belgian Café, Maison Mathis, and Le Petit Belge.

The firm, which has existed for 29 years in Belgium, has proven itself in the field of interior design, branding, art direction and strategic advice.

Its operational expertise allows Creneau International to provide its clients with more than just a design or branding service. Rather, the knowledge the company has gained from operating concepts and creating food & beverage menus means that it can offer a full 360-degree experience, ranging from the clients’ brief to its own research, production & build — all of which translates into a number of successful projects and returning customers across the Middle East market.

This is because the team at Creneau International believes that the guest experience starts from first contact and doesn’t end until the guest leaves the restaurant or bar.

What’s important to remember is that because Creneau International has a track record in not only creating concepts, but also in operating different restaurant and bars, the team can truly consult on the importance of delivering guest expectations and beyond. Understanding the whole concept brief is essential before starting to work on designs, and as its team says: “We dig before we build!”

Creneau International has worked on a number of projects within the Middle East, but some of the most well-known include: Café Belge, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre; Tap House, Vista Mare, The Palm Jumeirah; Cho Gao, InterContinental Abu Dhabi; Maison Mathis, Arabian Ranches; and, Leopold’s of London, JBR.

After introducing and successfully opening Le Petit Belge, a Belgian restaurant and bar in 2017, Creneau International is now set to open two more of the same brand in the first quarter of 2018. Besides Le Petit Belge, the firm is currently finalising more than eight design projects for clients such as Le Méridien, Dusit Thani, and Nakheel.
