Tunisia has restarted Emirates Airline operations to the country after halting them briefly in December following complaints of additional security checks faced by Tunisian women.
Tunisia authorities suspended Emirates Airlines flights on December 24, 2017 after United Arab Emirates security delays.
According to reports, a number of Tunisian women said their travel UAE by Emirates had been delayed and some were forced to undergo additional examination of their visas.
The transport ministry said it had "decided to suspend" Emirates flights to Tunis "until the airline is able to find the appropriate solution to operate its flights in accordance with international law and agreements," the report added.
In a statement on Thursday, Tunisia's transport ministry announced the "resumption of Emirates flights to Tunisia" after the "lifting of measures against Tunisian women".
