How long have you been a purchasing manager?
I have been in the hospitality industry for 15 years now.
What specific products are you are the lookout for?
I mainly oversee the products for hotel’s day-to-day operations. I deal with various contracts, credit letters and purchases such as heavy equipment, operating supplies and equipment, and so on.
What challenges do you face at work?–
Most of the time suppliers are not able to provide the full product information to match our requirements. Delivery time can also be a major concern.
Tell us about one of your most successful dealsAs this is my second hotel pre-opening, I can say that one of my most successful deals was negotiating and signing the new laundry contract.
What does a supplier have to do to impress you?
To impress me, a supplier needs to provide value for money, great communication, and reliability on the time frame given.
