Roosewood in Abu Dhabi has launched 'Rosewood Explorers' club, which comprises a selection of activities for children to get more involved in nature and the environment.
The Al Maryah Island five-star unveiled a selection of experiences and deals for families with children aged between three and 12.
Part of the club is the dedicated terrace, used as an outdoor cinema venue, a garden and also a play area with swinging tents and hide and seek facilities. Gardening is a key activity the hotel is using to familiarise children with the environment.
The hotel has introduced what it calls the ‘Fun Rally’, a game promoting inclusivity through yoga and mediation sessions.
An art studio is being used for papier-mâché and other creative skills, the media room has TVs showing broadcasts to help with a child’s coordination, while the quiet zone has a children’s library and Lego wall.
With the new child-orientated experience, the hotel is offering babysitting services and a ‘kids eat free’ offer at all F&B venues. Each child staying at Rosewood Abu Dhabi will also receive a goodie bag on arrival.
Roland Duerr, general manager at Rosewood Abu Dhabi said: “Rosewood Explorers introduces the young travellers visiting or staying at the hotel to the many wonders of the world, while learning how to preserve its beauty."
“Their contributions are vital for the future of sustainable practices and it is best to start them young. With our new interactive programme, children are invited to explore first-hand the many ways to minimize the harmful impact we have on the planet.”
The hotel explains that the service was conceived partly so parents could have time away from their children to enjoy the luxuries of Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
