InterContinental Mina Al Arab Resort RAK to open as part of luxury portfolio expansion

Ras Al Khaimah will get another luxury hotel next year.

Slated for a Q3 2021 opening, InterContinental Mina Al Arab will comprise 350 keys, a health club, spa and two pools.

Covering an area of 43,770 sq m, the resort is a short drive from famous archaeological sites such as Dhayah Fort and Sheba’s Palace.

The RAK property forms part of a larger expansion plan by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to grow its InterContinental brand.

InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City has already opened this month. Located in Chao Tian Men Square of downtown Chongqing, China.

InterContinental Luanda Miramar is set to open in Q4 2020 in the Angolan capital, along the South Atlantic Coast of Western Africa, minutes from Luanda Bay.

In southern Thailand next year, the InterContinental Yao Yai Resort is set to open. Boasting sea-view villas and private residences, the island resort will have a fitness club, spa, kids club and three restaurants.

Elsewhere in Thailand, the InterContinental Khao Yai National Park will open at the end of this year. Situated in the Khao Yai National Park, the hotel will feature 45 rooms and 16 suites. The following year, InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping will open.

Fiji’s Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva will open in 2022, while a Rome-located hotel will open that same year and InterContinental Halong Bay Resort will open in 2023.
