What you need to know about Susona Bodrum, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Published: 9 August 2020 - 5 a.m.
A new destination on the Aegean coast, the Susona Bodrum, LXR Hotels & Resorts, stays true to the beauty of the Turkish city and is Hilton’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Turkey. It’s six kilometres from downtown Bodrum and has a beach, spa, and dining experiences.

Environment
The hotel is connected to its location, with a focus on protecting and preserving the environment through the use of recyclable materials and locally sourced produce where possible. Named after the mystical Susona, a legendary aquatic creature in Turkish mythology, it is in Torba Bay, a peaceful hideaway surrounded by turquoise waters. Water is a recurring theme throughout the property – the hotel’s architecture and design are inspired by the ripple effect of water droplets, and each of the 76 guest rooms, suites, and villas have panoramic sea views and interiors inspired by the sea. The ten private villas also have pools.

Experiences
The resort’s five jetties offer opportunities to enjoy the azure waters of the Aegean Sea, with a host of seaside venues to choose from. They include Frankie Beach Club and Malva Restaurant, created exclusively for the property by Kaya Demirer and the team behind the famed Frankie Istanbul – a venue acclaimed as one of the world’s fi nest nightspots.

Exclusive
Staying true to LXR Hotels & Resorts’ promise of offering guests a unique experience native to its place, history, and tradition, the resort will not only find the best relaxation and sundown spots on-property for each guest but also scout out locally immersive experiences. The hosts will curate personalised local trips, encompassing visits to Bodrum’s famous hand-crafted leather sandal workshops, local wine tasting at nearby vineyards, and a journey into the world of Turkish carpet making at Etrim village.
