SATORP gets new CEO
Fawwaz Nawaab will continue to retain his membership in the board of directors

Fawwaz Ismael Nawwab, the CEO of Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP), a company that is 62.5% owned by Saudi Aramco and 37.5% owned by TOTAL, has resigned, according to an announcement on Tadawul.

He has been replaced by Sulaiman Mansour Ababtain with effect from March 16, the announcement said.

Nawaab will continue to retain his membership in the board of directors.

The resignation is “due to the expiry of the period of his secondment by Saudi Aramco that assigned him other leadership responsibilities in the company,” the statement said.

Ababtain has been working for Saudi Aramco since 1989.

Prior to joining SATORP, Ababtain held the positon of manager of crude oil sales and marketing in Saudi Aramco.
