The second edition of the Logistics Middle East Awards 2018 has sold out just days before the event, with no more seats available for purchase, according to the events team at ITP Media Group.
The Logistics Middle East Awards 2018, formerly known as the Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATAs), is the largest awards program of its kind in the Middle East region, and the only awards event that focuses specifically on the logistics industry and its major verticals.
This year’s event included 15 separate awards categories, from Supply Chain Hub of the Year and FMCG Supply Chain of the Year, to E-commerce Supply Chain of the Year and Manufacturing Supply Chain of the Year.
The growth in nominations has been matched by a surge in table bookings ahead of the event, with more than 190 of the top decision makers from across the Middle East supply chain confirmed to attend.
Nominees shortlisted this year included large 3PLs and logistics specialists, as well as end-users such as chocolate maker MARS GCC.
“The second annual Logistics Middle East Award is set to follow success of the former SCATA Awards, this year promises to be another successful year for the Logistics Middle East Awards, with the re-branded awards programme better reflecting the specialist logistics verticals within the industry,” says Sophie McHugh, events manager, business events, ITP Media Group.
“This year the awards will be held at the centrally located 5 star hotel, Grosvenor House and we are delighted to have sold out for Logistics Middle East Awards 2018,” McHugh added.
“Every player that is serious about the GCC logistics market is represented at the awards, from ports and terminals, freezones, and global logistics companies, to mid-sized regional players and suppliers to the industry,” adds Anup Dominic, sales manager, Logistics Middle East magazine.
“There has been an unprecedented surge in the demand side for the awards this year and it is revelatory of what is expected of the market this year,” he says.
The Logistics Middle East Awards are hosted by Logistics Middle East, the region’s leading logistics and supply chain focused title. The event will be held April 17that Grosvenor House, Dubai.
