Organi, a logistics software provider, has entered into a strategic alliance with INTTRA, an ocean shipping electronic marketplace.
As per the agreement, Organi will incorporate INTTRA's container booking and shipping instructions suite into its Organi Logistics System, OLS and OLS Customs.
By aligning itself with INTTRA, Organi customers will be able to tap into one of the largest multi-carrier networks in the world and will have access to more than 50 of the top ocean carriers via a single interface.
End-users will benefit from improvements in the processing of ocean freight transactions, minimising mistakes, such as double inputs, as well as improving overall productivity. They will also have the necessary tools to create bookings with specific shipping instructions and track their shipments across the entire journey.
Kristof Poulain, business unit manager at Organi, said: "Through this alliance, we look forward to providing customers with better control and greater visibility into their supply chains, further standardising ocean shipping processes in order to increase efficiencies across the industry and allowing them to proactively focus on increasing customer service levels."
Sherrie Orzechowski, vice president, Business Development, Alliances, said: "Organi's core focus on the automation of business processes makes them a natural partner for INTTRA.
"We are pleased that our product will enable Organi to provide an even more efficient solution to its customers and those that they serve."
