Dubai's Community Development Authority is to hold a week of brainstorming workshops for its team to help develop its 10X projects.
The brainstorming sessions, for the Authority's leadership and its 10X team, will focus on how to develop pragmatic, real-world projects to transform social services in Dubai and improve living standards for citizens, residents and visitors.
10X is an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, for all Dubai government entities to be ten years ahead of all comparable government entities. The 10X initiative is closely monitored by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), and the project is focused on practical implementations of innovative ideas.
HE Ahmed Abdul Karim Julfar, Director General of the CDA said: "These workshops, which were announced soon after the formation of the dedicated Dubai 10X team, offer an ideal platform to channel all of the energy and resources at our disposal to continually upgrade our services, and support Dubai as it climbs the ranks through various global indexes.
"The brainstorming sessions are an essential part of our efforts to implement the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and heed the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum," HE Julfar continued, "who have called on everyone to come up with innovative projects to place Dubai 10 years ahead of other major cities, all the while steering government policies and services towards people's happiness and wellbeing."
The Authority had formed the dedicated Dubai 10X group in March 2017, headed by HE Fatima Butti Al Muhairi, Director of Investment and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Community Development Authority, along with a number of talented and ambitious youth and People of Determination (people with disabilities), representing various segments of UAE society.
"The Dubai 10X team has come up with a number of creative initiatives and unconventional solutions to develop the community service sector," HE Al Muhairi said. "With this series of intensive workshops, we will be taking our work to the next level and working to transform these initiatives into feasible and pragmatic projects."
The Community Development Authority's Dubai 10X team has set a clear primary goal for itself to empower, protect and connect with every individual in Dubai. The team strives to build a coherent social ecosystem that is capable of making real achievements, and that offers sustainable social services that connect and engage all segments of society.
