Under a new partnership, Huawei will now feature Dubai Font as a standard on its upcoming flagship smartphone to be released later this year.

The Executive Council of Dubai and Huawei Consumer Business Group have joined forces to reflect Dubai's culture of innovation. This means that Dubai Font will feature on Huawei's mobile operating system as a pre-loaded font and it will be available first in the Middle East and Africa and extended globally next year.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Shaibani, secretary general of the Executive Council of Dubai, said: "Dubai Font is a new tool for self-expression and communication in the region and around the world, and we are confident that this agreement will leave its mark on the world. Huawei has a good reputation and future, and this seemed a natural fit for us moving forward."

Gene Jiao, president of Huawei Consumer Business Group Middle East & Africa, added: "We are excited to announce our partnership with The Executive Council of Dubai, and to be one of the first smartphone company to introduce Dubai Font to our users."

Dubai Font is available in 23 languages in more than 180 countries to more than 100 million users of Microsoft 365.
