Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity specialist firm, and IDC, the global industry analyst firm, have announced their participation with the latest instalment of the Middle East IT Security Roadshow.

Following successful runs in Kuwait city, Manama, Doha, Jeddah, and Riyadh, the latest iteration of the roadshow will run from the 11 - 17 May, 2017. During that time, it is expected to visit the cities of Abu Dhabi, Muscat, and Amman.

Commenting on the roadshow, Tarek Abbas of Palo Alto Networks said: "As the pace of technology quickens, we need to come together when it comes to protecting organisations' most crucial asset in a digital economy - information.

"We encourage a prevention mind-set at the executive level and increasingly see our customers moving in this direction. Our approach integrates people, process and technology to secure organisations against known and unknown cyberattacks targeting cloud, virtual and physical network environments."

Focused on fostering relationships between vendors, end users, and CIOs, the roadshow serves as a platform for professionals to come together to share opportunities and discuss challenges on a variety of security-related topics afflicting organisations across the region.

Megha Kumar, IDC MEA's research director for software, said: "The Middle East's IT decision makers rank cybersecurity solutions as the most critical technology for enabling the digital transformation of their organisations.

"As the digital economy becomes a reality, security strategies will need to encompass internal systems as well the systems used by end users and suppliers. As such, IT managers must look to build proactive security mitigation plans while supporting the businesses' overall digital transformation agenda. This will be a key focus of IDC's IT Security Roadshow 2017.
